Hammer Stavanger Classic 

Hammer Stavanger Classic, on May 25, is a sportive for everyone who wants to challenge themselves on a bike in beautiful surroundings and is a unique opportunity to go where the professionals go.

Hammer Stavanger Classic is a great bike experience in good company. Participants can choose from three distances. They all go through varied terrain and nature, on roads with only minimal traffic.

Part of the course is the same as the one of the professional race, giving participants the opportunity to compare their time with the pros on several segments.

The start and finish is at Stavanger Forum. Participants will finish their ride in the middle of the day, giving them plenty of time to watch the professionals afterwards. There will be wardrobes and secure bike parking so everyone can take part in watching the pro race without any stress.

 Race description:

  • Start and finish at Stavanger Forum

  • Three different routes: 12km, 50km and 130km

  • Open start between 09:00 and 12:00 as follows:

    • 130km: 9:00 to 10:00

    • 50km: 10:00 to 11:00

    • 12km: 11:00 to 12:00

  • Groups of up to five can depart together at 30 seconds intervals

  • Register individually or as a team of up to five riders

  • All types of bikes are allowed. If you need a bike, check Norway Bike Rental

  • All riders will carry a chip for electronical registration at start and finish

  • Participants in “trim” will not be timed

  • Participants in “tur” will be timed in three segments:

    • Climb segment: Grisabakken (Sørmarkabakken)

    • Chase segment: From Hellestø to Ølberg

    • Sprint segment: 500m from Madlaveien until just before Tjensvollkrysset

  • The participants of the 12km race will only be timed in the Climb and Sprint segments

  • Last finish at 15:00
