Local hero Dumoulin headlines Hammer Cycling Café
Tom Dumoulin talks about the Hammer Climb in Vaals last year

Tom Dumoulin, one of the great names in Dutch cycling, will be the star guest at the Hammer Cycling Café on Thursday, May 31 - an evening of cycling talk with pro riders, sports directors and the Hammer Limburg race director.

Dumoulin (Team Sunweb) came second overall in the Giro d'Italia, 46 seconds behind the winner, Chris Froome (Team Sky)

This will be his second appearance at Hammer Limburg. Last year, Maastricht-born Dumoulin, a local hero to cycling fans, rode the Hammer Climb and declared afterwards: "It was incredibly hard, I'm glad it's done."

Topics for discussion will include the Hammer Series, cycling in general, tactics and the technical side of racing, with a recap of last year’s Hammer Series action, too.

Other riders taking part in the evening are Danny Van Poppel (Team LottoNL-Jumbo) and Moreno Hofland (Lotto Soudal).

The Hammer Cycling Café will be held at Rebelle in Maastricht, Kesselskade 43.
